Managed to snap a few pics at the Arp/Pocahaunted show a couple weeks ago (this is a repost from before the crash) at the Eleanor Harwood Gallery. For those not in the know, Arp is the solo project of Alexis Georgopoulos formerly of SF’s Tussle, now also of The Alps. Reminiscent of Cluster, Arp broke out some warm jamz to float around in.

Pocahaunted, on the other hand, brought down a mighty punk-dirge hammer with a killer single-song set. Thats right, ONE song, maybe 15min at most. Unfortunately, none of my pics came out.

What the hell is going on in Los Angeles these days? If you haven’t noticed the out pouring of good jams from the capital of smog then its time you tune in. Fantastic Sleep is a new duo formed by LA vets Grant Capes and Ged Gengras ((VxPxC), Antique Brothers, Sleepwalkers Local 242, Fantastic Ego, Thousands, et al. ) and New Master is their first outing.  And its good.  Real good. Super dense and…well..smogy.  Blown out soft noise of the inner space variety that I can’t really get enough of.  Jam over to Phantom Limb to pick this up.
