Harold Budd mini piece for Bath Festival 0

Harold Budd

Harold Budd was commissioned to compose a short piece for the 2008 Bath Festival for its 60th anniversary. Typical Budd, a few notes can carry a hell of a lot of weight. Last year’s out-of-retirement “Perhaps” released as a digital-only download on Samadhi Sound was totally stunning.

The Bath Festival organizers decided to make a little contest out of Budd’s mini-piece, The Midnight Winds of London, and have contributors submit their own versions.

Zomes 0

Zomes is the first (correct me if I’m wrong) solo outing from Lungfish guitarist Asa Osborne. It’s a lovely collection of narcotic constellations formed by simple vignettes blown thru repetitive riffs of audio crunch. The fidelity on this disc is worth it’s price alone. Perfect timing ‘cus to my ears the whole thing has a nice late summer sunset / whisky sippn’ feel….

Get drunk at the Holy Mountain.
