the recording of erik satie’s gnossiennes #5 on this tape is absolutely one of the most sublime moments of recorded music ever! does anyone know who the performer/ what record this came from? the guys as MR said it was from some french instructional record that came out in the 1970s but didnt give any more info than that. i really gotta know
I would like to know as well.
The absolutely adore the tracks on this tape. Love the reduced fidelity… It helps me relocate myself to some small apartment circa 1928 in a small town spotted with lights in the nighttime and the smell of woodstove smoke drifting down the cobblestone alleyways. Way to excessively encourage my romanticizing of those years, sheesh.
bought this one about a week ago in the shop. was thinking about trying to rip it in case you guys didn’t. pretty sweet.
Wild tracklist on this one … I approve
