The Crack In The Cosmic Egg is Steven and Alan Freeman’s (of Audion magazine) loving encyclopedia of Krautrock. Seriously exhaustive. My only wish is that there were more stories/lore about the bands and maybe more naked shots of Faust recording at the provincial farm. Oh well, trip out!

A “light” version of the tome is available here sans images and with only about 1/3 the original text though it still has all the essential stuff. Hell, just about everything else I doubt you’d ever be able to find a proper copy of anyway.
