speaking of heretical statements…while i agree ‘master’ is the best official studio album they made, my favorite is probably ‘garage days re-revisted’…i know they’re all covers, i know it’s newstead, but it’s the one i still listen to the most.

a classmate from sfai who was friends with Hammett told me that during the recording of “And Justice…” Lars was so coked out that they had to bring in a session drummer for some of the tracks…
I know it’s considered a heretical statement, but for the record: ‘And Justice For All’ is their best album…
NO WAY. ‘Ride The Lightning’ / ‘Master Of Puppets’. PERIOD.
