    oh, man! i saw something almost exactly like this in hanoi, except that the jandek/fred mcdowell guitar player was getting pushed around in a wheelchair at 1am. totally incredible.

    beautiful. does that guitar have a scalloped fretboard, kind of like yngwie malmsteen’s guitars? it kind of looks like it, and would explain some of that crazy vibrato.

    if anyone has any information about the content of this song, or the extent to which this sort of performance is common in vietnam, please share!
