In the B side there’s an italian song, It is actually called ”corsicana” or ”Antuneddu Antuneddu”, and, if someone is interested, here’s a part of the lyrics and the traduction. Oh, I’m quite sure that the singer is Pia Calamai.

    Antoneddu Antoneddu
    Tuttu lu mundu si lagna
    meglio ti ‘ulia a mortu
    che bandito a la campagna

Fa la ninna, e fa la nanna
chi lu babbo è a la campagna
fa la ninna e fa la nanna
chi lu babbo è a la campagna

    Mamma mamma, mamma mamma
non te la pigliare a cori
    se stocu pà la campagna
    non stocu per disonori

Fa la ninna, fa la nanna
chi lu babbo è a la campagna
fa la ninna e fa la nanna
chi lu babbo è a la campagna

    Cant’è bedda la marina
    (I can’t understand this part)

Fa la ninna, fa la nanna
chi lu babbo è a la campagna.

    Anthony, Anthony
    Everyone blames you
and I’d rather you were dead
than a bandit in the country

    Sleep well, sleep well
that your father is in the country

    mom, mom,
    don’t be angry
if i’m hiding in the country
i’m not hiding here for shame

    Sleep well, sleep well,
that your father’s in the country

    How is Marina beautiful?
    (…)

    Sleep well, sleep well
that your father’s in the country.

In Sardinia, between around 1860 took place an occurence called Banditismo as a consequence of the establishment of the Italian Unification. That forced many man and women to live a life of crime. In Sardinia, bandits had a strange reputation: on one hand they were considered cruel. They caused many problems to the ordinary people, killing everyone on their road who was considered a barrier to their freedom.
On the other hand they became a sort of romantic hero. Rough, strong, sadly brave. Many songs have been written about them, and this is one of them.
The woman is singing about how was hard to be the woman and the mother of a bandit, how that influenced the opinion that everyone had of her and her beloved son.

Don’t know if this may interest, but I hope it helps, in case.

I’m from Italy but I’m not from sardinia, which language is a lot different from the ordinary italian, that’s why I can’t understand every word.

    Thank you again.
