Songs of Forgiveness is my album of the year, I’ve listened to it so much. I just read the Mexican Summer press release via their webpage, and I had to laugh at the Michael Mann reference — those drum pads in Songs of Forgiveness have reminded me of my youth spent watching too many MTV videos in the mid-80s, particularly, The Cars’ “Who’s Gonna Drive You Home,” which they played to death!
