Music Interiors Vol. 2: Interni Italiani

munari

DJ mix of Italian ambient/minimalist/avant-garde music, mostly emanating from institutions supporting the arts in cities like Milan and Rome: theatre production soundtracks, video installations, architectural studies, etc.

Ethnographic plunderphonics, post-Battiato spiritual minimalism and hypnotic FM patterns (plus Mediterranean fourth world currents throughout).

this is a fantastic mix – thanks! the best I’ve heard in a long time. it is exciting to hear such music esp. when 75% of its makers are unknown to me -> searching them out. sorry to be a nuisance, but i too would like a dl so i can hear it on a decent stereo and appreciate it fully

Just needed to chime in that this is really wonderful. This has opened up a whole heretofore unknown zone of listening for me and has in the last couple months become a jumping off point for many other excursions. It’s mixtapes like this, cohesive and all wonderful, yet containing almost nothing I knew previously, that remind me that In need never run out of new musical discoveries.
