未来少年コナン – Future Boy Conan 2
Episode 1 (of 26) – のこされ島 ‘Remnant Island’
Miyazaki (of ‘Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind’ and ‘Spirited Away’) Hayao’s first foray into animation (from manga) yielded some pretty amazing results. The musical score by Ikebe Shin’ichirō alone is reason enough to watch, not to mention the amazing story. Originally aired on NHK in 1978. Peep it!

Recently came upon archived episodes of Stan Brakhage’s ‘The Test of Time’ radio show, a wonderful mix of music, readings and commentary from this seminal filmmaker.
